Ryan Pisarri Ryan represents the best of the modern era of Ramapo athletics. He earned eight varsity letters at Ramapo—football, basketball, and baseball—with seven of those eight teams winning NBIL titles and three winning NJSIAA State Championships. Ryan’s Raider football career had many highlights: he helped earn two NBIL titles and two State Championships; he intercepted three passes in one game (school record), and holds the records for most interceptions in a season (16) and longest return of an interception (95 yards). These accomplishments helped Ryan earn First Team status at the League, County, State, and Suburban levels, and Athlete of the Week honors. As a basketball player, Ryan helped to win two NBIL titles and scored 859 career points in only two seasons. During his baseball career Ryan again had many highlights: he helped the team to a 72-19 record over the course of his three years, helped bring home Ramapo’s first ever State Championship, and helped make Ramapo the only school in New Jersey in 2002 to win 30 games (bringing the Raiders to 13th in the nation). For his contribution to all three sports, Ryan was named YMCA Bergen County Athlete of the Year for 2002, one of the Top 100 NJ Football players of 2002, 2002 New Jersey Scholar Athlete, and 2002 Ramapo Male Athlete of the Year. Ryan continued his athletic career at the University of Pennsylvania where he played four years as wide receiver and helped UPenn to two League Championships. Ryan is an Equities Trader and currently lives in Wyckoff. He enjoys playing basketball and football, following the Yankees, Giants and Knicks, reading Sports Illustrated and the Wall Street journal, watching movies, working out to stay in shape, playing with his dog, Ali, and hanging out with his buddies (especially his fellow Ramapo buddies!).
