Dan Milazzo A 1994 graduate, Dan was an accomplished two-sport athlete at Ramapo, lettering three times in football and four in lacrosse. Dan started both ways (fullback/linebacker) and helped the Raider football team to two NBIL titles and a State Championship (Ramapo’s first undefeated season). Along the way, he amassed 2,750 yards (9.5/carry) and 38 touchdowns, combining with teammate Rob Miano as only the fifth tandem in Bergen County history to each score one hundred points in a season. Dan twice earned First-Team All-League and First-Team All-County honors and First-Team All-State honors in his senior year; he was also named The Record’s Athlete of the Week (9/9/1993), NY Giants Hot Stove Athlete of the Week, and was an inaugural recipient of the Bergen County Golden Eleven Award. For Ramapo’s first-ever varsity lacrosse team, Dan was a four-year starter at Attack and scored over one hundred goals and assisted on over fifty more. In only their first year of varsity play, Dan and his teammates won the Rizk League Championship and qualified for State Playoffs. Dan was recognized with First-Team All-League, First-Team All-County, and Second-Team All-State honors and earned a spot on the NJ North/South All-Star game. After high school, Dan attended Amherst College where he continued with football, earning the starting running back spot for both freshman and sophomore years. Dan’s playing career was unfortunately cut short due to injury, but in his two years he made his mark, being named ECAC Rookie of the Week after his first game and also ECAC Player of the Week runner-up. Dan currently works as an Account Executive for Microstrategy, Inc., selling intelligence software to the financial services industry. Amongst his greatest accomplishments is meeting and marrying his wife, Melissa, and he would someday like to return to athletics as a youth coach.
