Anthony Chernalis If you live, work, or play in the FLOW area, the Market Basket and the name Tony Chernalis are certainly familiar to you. A member of Ramapo’s inaugural graduating class, 1958, Tony has been an active, thriving local businessman and contributor to the community on many levels. Tony has been on the Advisory Boards of Christian Healthcare Center, Horizon Bank, Hudson United Bank, and the Wyckoff Public Library; he was a Wyckoff Volunteer Fireman for twenty years; he has been honored by the American Cancer Society, Wyckoff YMCA, Eva’s Village, and Mary Help of Christians; he is an active Supporter of Oasis Haven for Women and Children, Eva’s Village, Mary Help of Christians, Wyckoff YMCA, Wyckoff Fire Department, St Elizabeth’s Church, Most Blessed Sacrament, Wyckoff Schools, Ramapo High School, and several other local churches, schools, and charities. In 1962 Tony married Phyllis and they raised three children here: Mark, Susan, and Nancy (all Ramapo graduates). Tony and Phyllis also have eight grandchildren. Toni and Phyllis have given generously and without hesitation to the athletic department of Ramapo High School. We are inherently better for their support and their dedication to making Ramapo what it is today. Thank you for all that you have done.
