  This 1974 Ramapo graduate earned 7 varsity letters and excelled in two sports, basketball and tennis.  Ramapo’s all-time leading basketball scorer, Bob Kleinert continued his basketball greatness on the college level and tennis prowess beyond that.

  Bob was a three-year varsity letter winner in basketball and is the all-time career leader in points with more than 1700.  He led Ramapo to the League Championship in the three years he played on the varsity level.  He was selected to the All-State team three years and to the All-County team twice.

   As the team captain his junior and senior year, Bob led the Raiders to an unmatched 73 consecutive win record from 1973-1975.  Ramapo’s record for his 4-year tenure was 102-2, including two state championships.  Playing at first singles during that period, Bob was the Bergen County Singles Champion three times.  He was selected All-League and All-County four years in a row.

   At Princeton University, Bob continued his basketball career as a four year varsity player.  During those years, Princeton was NIT Champions in 1975 and twice Ivy League Champions.  After graduation, Bob won 8 National Platform Tennis Championships; four times at singles, twice each at men’s doubles and mixed doubles and once at 45 doubles.

  Bob is presently residing in Greenwich, Connecticut with his wife Christine and his two children, Sophie, fifteen and Jackson, eleven.  Bob still enjoys tennis, platform tennis and golf.
