Aldo Cascio Special Contributor Aldo Cascio has been involved in soccer since his childhood growing up in Italy. He learned the game while playing on the streets of Sicily while watching his favorite players on his team, Inter Milan. He came to the United States with his dad as a 15 year old boy. In his teenage years, he started work as a dishwasher, then moved on to being a cook and waiter. He is now the proud owner of Aldo’s Restaurant and the Brickhouse Restaurant. Aldo’s love for the sports led him to be a volunteer assistant soccer coach for his nephew’s youth soccer team. He continued his passion for kids while continuing his volunteer coaching for many club teams, and the Ramapo High School boys’ soccer team. The teams that he has been involved in our community, his altruistic nature, his love of soccer and the Ramapo family are demonstrated consistently by the donation of time, food, and his restaurants for award ceremonies and fundraising events. There is no greater gift than giving time and passion to the student/athlete. Aldo’s name is synonymous with giving to Ramapo. Aldo lives in Wyckoff with his wife Jill and has a daughter Danielle, age 29 and a son Aldo, age 20.
